Our Company

Farrell Lines is a U.S. flag roll-on, roll-off carrier that provides international end-to-end transportation services to the U.S. government and commercial customers. We operate three pure car/truck carriers, offer flexible routings and schedules, and provide inland and logistics services.

Our goal is to simplify the global transportation process by providing outstanding service. The movement of high-value rolling stock, the coordination of deployments and the timing of equipment deliveries are complex, and Farrell Lines has the expertise to meet your required delivery date. Farrell Lines colleagues ensure that you receive exemplary service whenever you move cargo and are available anytime to support your most pressing needs. Contact us directly and we’ll take care of you.

The Farrell Lines fleet consists of two classes of roll-on, roll-off vessels. In February 2013, Farrell Lines brought the Alliance FAIRFAX under US flag to complement the Alliance ST. LOUIS and the Alliance NORFOLK, which have been U.S. Flagged vessels since February 2008. Built between 2004 and 2008, our vessels are modern and reliable, boast heavyweight stern ramps and versatile deck configurations, and have massive stowage capacity. The size and the make-up of our ships allow us to carry a variety of vehicles, helicopters and oversized equipment.

Farrell Lines makes port calls on inducement, and our common ports of call include Aqaba, Jordan; Baltimore, Maryland; Beaumont, Texas; Charleston, South Carolina; Jacksonville, Florida; Karachi, Pakistan; Salalah, Oman; Shuaiba, Kuwait; Umm Qasr, Iraq. We have called on numerous other ports worldwide and will continue to serve destinations as desired by our customers. A full port list is available on the Services page of our website.

Farrell Lines affords our customers the economic efficiency and convenience of a single end-to-end transportation provider. We enhance our ocean carriage service with inland transportation and logistics services, such as satellite-based cargo tracking.

Farrell Lines’ heritage as a leading U.S. flagged ocean carrier goes back to 1925 when James Farrell established the American-South African Line. Farrell Lines today carries on this leadership tradition through our participation in the Maritime Security Program (MSP) and the Voluntary Intermodal Sealift Agreement (VISA). To honor our proud history, the logo borrows from Farrell Lines’ original saltire flag.

Farrell Lines is a subsidiary of Maersk Line, Limited and operates with the support of its key service providers, Höegh Autoliners and its U.S. affiliate, Alliance Navigation.
